Suzanne Paul, FNP
Owner/President/Functional Health Provider
My career in medicine began in 2004 as an RN, first on the med-surge unit at MCV and later in the emergency room, where I saw firsthand how chronic medical conditions impacted patients’ lives. Motivated to help more effectively, I went back to school to become a nurse practitioner. I felt that by becoming a nurse practitioner, I would be able to help my patients better by working to improve and prevent these chronic health conditions.
After starting as an NP I quickly realized that the healthcare system was broken and all I was able to do for my patients was just merely manage their disease. I then started looking into a different way to help my patients and began training in functional health. I began training through the American Academy of Functional Health (AAFH) where I learned more about identifying the root cause of health conditions and how to treat them more holistically.
My husband, Greg, and I were married in 2004 and we have 4 beautiful children together. Greg and I both have a passion for health which is why we started Chicory Hill Farm in 2019, through which we are able to provide our community a source of clean, all-natural meats. Through holistic care, and prescribing quality food as medicine, I am excited to empower our community to THRIVE.

Jeni O'Neill
Functional Health Coach
I am a Board Certified Functional Medicine Health Coach with a passion for helping people live their healthiest lives so they can do what they are called to do. I love to see my clients find their motivation to start where they are and take manageable steps toward their goals. When we align our lifestyle with our biology and our values, true transformation is possible.
A wife, mom, and hobby farmer with a previous career in Information Systems, I have been coaching since 2019. I found functional medicine along the journey of my own health challenges and those of my family. My own struggles with hypoglycemia, GI pain, and autoimmune issues have allowed me to witness firsthand that food and lifestyle are powerful medicine. And I continue to be in awe of the power of food and lifestyle in the lives of my clients. I believe that health is a skill we can all learn.
In my free time, I enjoy cooking, reading, gardening, learning, drinking coffee, traveling, and working out. My husband and I live in Powhatan, Virginia in our recent empty-ish nest with our Golden Retriever, cat, and (occasionally) our two college-aged children.

Functional Health Coach
I recently graduated from homeschool high school, and I’m thrilled to now be working alongside my mom at Thrive Health and Wellness! My first job was at Rise & Grind Café in Powhatan when I was just 14, and later I joined the team at 7 Brew. Spending several years in customer service has given me a true love for people and building connections with them.
My main goal and priority is to serve the Lord with everything I have and to dedicate my entire life to Him in everything that I do. Second to that, is being the wife that God has called me to be. After those things, I have a heart for helping others. I pray that through this career I’ll be able to make a Kingdom impact, and that God will bless the ministry I have here.
I am so happy to be part of this team and to be a part of your health journey!
