Meet Suzanne Paul, FNP
My career in medicine began when I became an RN in 2004. I worked downtown at MCV on the med-surge unit for 3 years. There I began to learn about chronic medical conditions and how they seriously impacted peoples lives.
I then transitioned to the emergency room at a local hospital where I worked for the next 6 years. While working in the ER I continued to see the same trend with chronic medical conditions and how they negatively impacted the lives of my patients.
During my time in the ER I went back to school to become a nurse practitioner. I felt that by becoming a nurse practitioner, I would be able to help my patients better by working to improve and prevent these chronic health conditions.
After starting as an NP I quickly realized that the healthcare system was broken and all I was able to do for my patients was just merely manage their disease. I then started looking into a different way of practicing medicine and began training in functional medicine. I began training through the American Academy of Functional Health (AAFH) where I learned more about identifying the root cause of health conditions and how to treat them more holistically.
I bring my passion for health, my deeper understanding of the healing power of food and my commitment to patient care to Thrive Health and Wellness.
My husband, Greg, and I were married in 2004 and we have 4 beautiful children together.
Greg and I both have a passion for health which is why we started Chicory Hill Farm in 2019, through which we are able to provide our community a source of clean, all-natural meats.
Through holistic care, and prescribing quality food as medicine, we are able to empower our community to THRIVE.
